Arlington RAPID

The City of Arlington would like your input on the Arlington RAPID (Rideshare, Automation, and Payment Integration Demonstration) project. Under the Arlington RAPID project, the City has integrated fully autonomous vehicles into Arlington's existing Via on-demand rideshare service. It includes a wheelchair-accessible autonomous vehicle and the integration of payment systems with UTA, which allows students to ride the AVs for free. RAPID began operations in March 2021 and is scheduled to continue through March 2022. More than 22,000 trips have been taken on the public transportation service since launch.

Your feedback is critical to the success of this project. The UTA research team is conducting short interviews to collect inputs from people residing and/or working in the City of Arlington about the RAPID transportation service. Due to the importance of feedback for the project, the team is seeking participants who are willing to voluntarily attend a virtual or in-person interview in January or February 2022. We are seeking individuals who are 18 years old or older and have used the RAPID AV service who would like to share their travel experiences.
