Editor's Note: Due to school closings and the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday, the Sheri Capehart Animal Essay Contest submission date has been extended to 5 p.m. Tuesday, January 18, 2022.

Don’t miss it! The first day for third through sixth grade students residing in Arlington to enter an essay in the Sheri Capehart Animal Essay Contest is Tuesday, January 18.

Entries may be hand-delivered between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. to the following locations:

Each winner will receive a Kindle Fire HD compliments of Spring Creek Barbeque and the City of Arlington. Winners will also receive a $100 savings account compliments of EECU, Spring Creek Barbeque and the City of Arlington.
