From decorating for fall, an intimate music scene and honoring those who serve, here are a few ways to enjoy your weekend in The American Dream City.

9/11 Heroes Run at River Legacy Park 

The community is invited to honor local veterans, their families and first responders Saturday, September 25 at River Legacy Park. The 9/11 Heroes Run 5k welcomes runners, walkers and everyone of all levels, abilities and ages to participate. The run is slated to start at 9:11 a.m. The goal: to never forget the sacrifices of the heroes of September 11th and the wars since. To learn more, click here.

Create Home Fall Décor at the George W. Hawkes Downtown Library 

Fall is upon us, and if you haven’t started decorating just yet, the Arlington Public Library can help with that. The Hello Fall! Home Décor event takes place Saturday, September 25 2 p.m. at the George W. Hawkes Downtown Library’s Tinker Room. You can make fun wooden signs using many techniques from painting to embroidery. It’s for anyone 13 and up.  

Candlelight Jazz at Catalyst Creative Arts

Enjoy an intimate evening of jazz music at The Listening Room inside Catalyst Creative Arts Saturday, September 25 at 8:30 p.m. Arlington’s Sky Jazz Quartet will present classic jazz hits and jazz arrangements of pop music to the soft glow of a candle lit stage. This can be a family event too, as it is open for those 10 years of age and older. Seating is first come, first serve with tickets required.
