3CMA Savvy Awards

The City of Arlington’s Office of Communication was honored to receive 7 awards from the national organization, City-County Communications: Marketing Association, or 3CMA, for its video programming, marketing, photography and other community outreach efforts.

“It’s an absolute honor to be recognized nationally for our work communicating with our residents through video programming, social media and the City’s website,” said Jay Warren, the city's director of Communication and Legislative Affairs and TAMIO President. “We have so many creative cities both here in Texas and throughout the country. It’s definitely rewarding to see validation for our work and the City’s mission to educate and reach as many residents as possible.”

The Savvy Awards, held in conjunction with 3CMA's Annual Conference in St. Louis, Missouri, recognize outstanding local government achievements in communications, public-sector marketing and citizen-government relationships. The Savvies salute skilled and effective city, county, agency or district professionals who have creatively planned and carried out successful innovations in communications and marketing. 3CMA accommodates local government organizations of all sizes and budget classes by judging entries in several different population groups.

The City of Arlington brought home:

Earlier this year, the City of Arlington's Office of Communication received 11 awards (including 5 first-place awards) at the annual Texas Association of Municipal Information Officers (TAMIO) conference in Round Rock, TX on Aug. 31, 2021.
