Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with the Arlington Public Library. Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated from September 15 through October 15. Visit our Branches to view displays dedicated to various Latin and South American countries and Puerto Rico. Check out one of our Hispanic Voices Read to Me Kits beginning Sept. 16 and pick them up at the East Library and Recreation Center. These kits are designed to help you support your child's development at home with sensory activity for ages 2-5 and five of our favorite board or picture books featuring Hispanic voices. Register today!

On Sept. 23 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the George W. Hawkes Downtown Library for our Traditional Dress Show featuring dresses from a variety of Latin American countries as well as a paper flower demonstration and a masapan competition.

Join us on Oct. 15 from 6 to 7 p.m. at the George W. Hawkes Downtown Library as City Council District 2 Representative Raul H. Gonzalez shares his personal perspective on diversity and inclusion in our community as a person of color.

Follow us on social media this month as we explore topics related to Hispanic Heritage and diversity in our community. From book talks to videos and cooking demonstrations there is something for everyone!
