Arlington City Council Update

The Arlington City Council evening meeting is set to start at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2021.

The meeting will be held in the Council Chamber, which is located between City Hall and the George W. Hawkes Downtown Library. No afternoon meeting is scheduled.

The City Council will vote on the City's $552 million proposed Fiscal Year 2022 operating budget, which includes a recommendation for a property tax rate reduction for the sixth year in a row, and slight increases for residents’ water rates, the garbage collection rate and storm water fee.

The Council will also vote to reduce Arlington's property tax rate from $0.6225 cents per $100 of assessed value to $0.6198 cents per $100 of assessed value.
