Are you a small business owner or entrepreneur here in Arlington: The American Dream City? Be sure to check out valuable information and resources that will be presented Sept. 13-15 as part of the U.S. Small Business Administration’s National Small Business Week 2021 Virtual Summit.

Registration is free for this three-day summit, which aims to honor America’s 30 million small businesses for their perseverance, triumphs, and creativity. More than half of Americans either own or work for a small business, and they create nearly two out of every three new jobs in the U.S. each year. American small businesses also continue to play a central role in building a strong country. This year’s event will spotlight the resilience of small businesses and the renewal of the small-business economy after the COVID-19 pandemic.

The National Small Business Week virtual event include educational panels for entrepreneurs looking to pivot and recover toward a stronger economy. The panels will include information about programs and services available to help businesses start and grow, build resilience and support, retain employees, discover new markets, and join key networks.

The event will also host representatives from Fortune 500 companies who will discuss their paths to success and share resources to help businesses on their entrepreneurial journey.
The summit will foster networking with public and private sector partners by including virtual booths to develop one-on-one connections, creating opportunities for collaboration and information-sharing in real time.

This year’s National Small Business Week virtual event offers:

  • 22 sessions of information and content especially curated for small business entrepreneurs
  • A special highlight on small business resiliency in 2021 and beyond
    Keynote session by the Secretary of Commerce.
  • Other speakers include entrepreneur, television personality and media proprietor Mark Cuban, chef, restaurateur and found of World Central Kitchen Jose Andres and White House Senior Advisor and Director of the Office of Public Engagement, Cedric Richmond.
  • Focus on Hispanic small business on Sept 14 as part of Hispanic Heritage Month
  • Resources from industry-leading small business partners
  • Easy to navigate online virtual conference space, with live interactive networking and sessions
