TAMIO Awards

The City of Arlington was honored to receive a state best 11 overall awards, including 5 first-place awards, at the annual Texas Association of Municipal Information Officers (TAMIO) conference in Round Rock on Aug. 31, 2021.

This year follows up a strong campaign in 2019, where the Office of Communication took home 10 awards at the TAMIO conference in Denton.

The awards recognize outstanding communication by Texas communities in a variety of categories including website, social media, video production and publications. Judging is conducted by non-TAMIO members with expertise in communications and municipal government.

The City's Rangers Home Plate Update quarterly publication, Arlington Lifestyle Video (website banner video), FY2020 Budget Video, FY2020 Budget in Action campaign and the Arlington Family COVID-19 PSA all won first-place awards at this year's ceremony.

Arlington: The American Dream City was presented with the following awards:

TAMI Awards (1st place)

Award of Excellence (2nd Place)

Award of Honor (3rd Place)
