Fall Into Fun With Arlington Parks’ September Events

Fall is just around the corner and so is the fun! Mark your calendar for these upcoming September events with Arlington Parks and Recreation.

Grandparents’ Day Brunch & Bingo – Saturday, September 4

 Grandchildren, bring your grandparents to this exciting event on September 4th in celebration of Grandparents’ Day! We will be having a delicious brunch and playing bingo from 11 AM – 1 PM at East Library and Recreation Center. Registration is $5 per person. Come have some fun and win some prizes!

Final Outdoor Swim of the Season – Labor Day Weekend

Bad Königshofen and Randol Mill Family Aquatic Centers will remain open through Labor Day weekend before closing for the season. You can enjoy either of the Aquatic Centers during the following weekend hours:

Saturday, September 4: 12-5 PM

Sunday, September 5: 1-5 PM

Monday, September 6 (Labor Day): 12-5 PM

Hoops With Heroes – Tuesday, September 14

Come out and support our youth athletes and Arlington Police Department as they team up to compete in a game of basketball at East Library and Recreation Center! The game is scheduled for Tuesday, September 14 starting at 6 PM. Admission to watch the game is free and concessions will be available. Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet their local police officers!

Rec N’ Roll – Thursday, September 16

The Dottie Lynn Recreation Center team will be bringing the fall fun to Veterans Park on Thursday, September 16! This is the first of three Rec N’ Roll events planned for this fall. This free event will have games, activities, and a cool treat. Look for the Naturally Fun tent at Veterans Park from 6-7 PM!

Dottie’s Amazing Race – Saturday, September 18

Do you have what it takes to come out on top? Teams of 2 to 6 people will come together on Saturday, September 18 from 10 AM – 12 PM to participate in Dottie’s Amazing Race! Teams will go through a series of challenges and the team with the best time will be named Dottie's Amazing Race Champions. Participants will need to have a smart phone and the ability to download an app.

Youth Futsal Registration is open September 1-25!

Our new Youth Futsal Leagues kick off this fall with a 6-game season! Register for $85 per player from September 1-25 and learn the exciting game of Futsal. Games begin October 9 and will be played at Elzie Odom Athletic Center.
