The College Town Renaissance Center presents the +20 More exhibit featuring works by 20 Black emerging artists in a variety of styles and media.

“What’s happening here in the summer within Arlington with the 30 Americans exhibit at the Arlington Museum of Art, the Jacob Lawrence Print Series at the Arlington Independent School District and then what we call, +20 More at the College Town Renaissance Center, it’s almost like a trifecta of looking at Black artists as they are Americans, to understand that narrative and what they bring to the art community,” said Sharon Henderson, gallerist for the College Town Renaissance Center.

“I am just blown away with the extensive art collection here, and how it showcased African American art in a way that is not showcased anywhere else in the city,” said Claire Alexander, the Arlington Art Dealers Association's executive director.

The +20 More exhibit is open in The American Dream City now through Sept. 5, 2021.

“Expect to see some great art,” Henderson said. Great art from around the world. We have pulled people from our collection and pieces from artist who are local to the community that have provided pieces that speak to those other exhibits. There are kind of in conversation with one another.”
