Tickets are available now for the 2021 State Fair Classic Spring Game. The matchup will see the Grambling State Tigers take on the Prairie View A&M Panthers Saturday, March 13, 2021 at Arlington's Globe Life Park. The game also includes live performances, a Super Bowl-sized halftime concert, tailgating, marching bands and more.

This historic game continues to grow, although it has seen many changes since the pandemic. Originally scheduled for the Fall of 2020, all SWAC games were moved to the spring of 2021 due to COVID-19. Then in early February Texas was hit with a major winter storm that damaged The Dallas Cotton Bowl making the facility impossible to use. Globe Life Park in Arlington jumped at the chance to bring this game to Arlington and the new date was announced.

The State Fair Classic held annually at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, Texas began in 1925 featuring the Wiley Wildcats and Langston Lions. It was not until 1992 that the classic would see the annual PVAMU-GSU showdown. In continuing celebrating the history of the State Fair Classic, the Langston University Marching Band known, as the “Marching Pride,” will be performing during this year's game.

Tickets can be purchased through ticketmaster.com and at several area locations including Catfish Floyds, Smokey John’s Bar-B-Q and Williams Chicken. Get more information on State Fair Classic events online at www.statefairclassicfootball.com. Gates open at 1:30 p.m.

This event will follow safety protocol and social distancing. Face masks are required. There will also be a no-bag policy enforced at the stadium.
