Six Flags Over Texas, the Thrill Capital of Texas, is restyling its 35-year Holiday in the Park tradition by transforming the park with more than 2 million twinkling lights a thrilling sled adventure on real snow, and the introduction of some new holiday traditions including Mystic Acres Holiday Trail. Of course, no holiday season would be complete without a visit with Jolly Ol’ St. Nick in Merry Marketplace Holiday in the Park has something for everyone!

Guests can enjoy:

  • Deep in the Heart of Christmas!: It’s a Texas-sized winter wonderland with more than 8.5 miles of mini lights; nearly 14,000 square feet of net lights; a giant Texas flag light canopy over 100 feet in length; Texas-sized ornaments, boots, and a glittering star.
  • Merry Marketplace: Families can safely visit with Santa at Santa’s Outpost; roast marshmallows over an open flame at the Campfire Holiday S’Mores fire pits; sip hot cocoa and nibble Red Velvet Cookies at The Peppermint Parlor; and witness the majestic animals of Johnson’s Creek Critter Corral.
  • Silver Star Holiday Carousel: Experience the youthful joy of our brightly lit and garland-decorated carousel.
  • Holiday Tree of Trees Light Spectacular: Towering at nearly 60 feet tall, this combination of 70 Christmas trees is trimmed with thousands of lights dancing magically with orchestrated precision.
  • Mystic Acres Holiday Trail: Enter the hay trail to meet magical characters like Sugarplum Fairy, Sammy the Reindeer Trainer, and many more! On your journey, you can visit with each of the characters for a family-friendly photo-op.
  • The Frosty Snowhill: Guests glide down the real snowy hillside wonderland adventure as they sled down a hill made with real snow.
  • Six Flags Holiday Railroad: Behold the return of the Six Flags Railroad! Enjoy the majestic scenery of the park while you ride our authentic and historic steam-engine train, decorated with festive lights and evergreen garland.
  • Shows Galore!: From Scottish bag pipes to Mariachi trumpets and Polynesian hula dancing, visit each stage—the Stage at Gotham City, BoomTown Stage, Merry Marketplace Stage, and Mexican Gazebo—for a variety of traditional and non-traditional holiday music and cheer that will light up your spirit.

This Saturday, Nov. 21, the park will host a Holiday Food Drive. Guests who donate six cans of non-perishable food will receive a 2020 one-day general admission ticket. This one-day food drive will benefit Tarrant Area Food Bank.

Six Flags Over Texas is home to more than 100 rides, shows and attractions. There’s one-stop holiday shopping with hundreds of perfect stocking stuffers including fun apparel, unique ornaments, and soft plush toys. Plus! For every Holiday Friend plush toy purchased, Six Flags Over Texas will donate a plush to Mission Arlington, while supplies last.

Park attendance will be carefully monitored to avoid overcrowding and all Members, Season Pass Holders, and guests with single-day tickets will be required to make a reservation to attend Holiday in the Park and Holiday in the Park Lights.

  •  All team members and all guests 2 years and up will be required to wear masks covering the nose and mouth while in the parks
