CASA of Tarrant County will continue its annual Superhero Run this year — giving everyone the chance to run at their own pace.

The nonprofit's annual fundraiser is usually held in Downtown Arlington but has moved to a virtual format this year to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

CASA is encouraging participants to commit to either a 5k or one-mile fun run, starting at the location of their choice. The runs can be tracked through an app, and prizes will be delivered to the fastest finishers. Money raised from registration and donations will support abused and neglected children in Tarrant County.

Race registration is open through Oct. 23, 2020. Participants are invited to a kickoff event Saturday, Oct. 24 at Central Bible Church. T-shirts and other participation prizes will be given away, in a drive-thru setting. The event runs from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Click here to sign up for a race.

CASA of Tarrant County assists family courts by providing trained volunteers to act on behalf of abused and neglected children. The volunteers' recommendations help children find safe, permanent homes. Click here to learn more about CASA, including volunteer opportunities.
