Daytime Lane Closure Planned on Eastbound I-30

July 8, 2020 — Editor's Note: TxDOT announced today the lane closure on eastbound I-30 will be extended through July 9, 2020.

Drivers who use eastbound I-30 should plan for a brief slowdown this week. TxDOT says its crews will close the right, outside lane of the highway between Collins Street and SH 360 to move a safety barrier. The closure will be in place Wednesday, July 8, 2020, from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

I-30 Mainlanes and Ramps

I-30 Eastbound Mainlanes

  • July 8, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.: The right, outside lane of I-30 eastbound mainlanes between Collins Street and SH 360 will be closed to move a temporary concrete traffic safety barrier.

I-30 Westbound Mainlanes

  • Through summer 2020: The right, outside auxiliary lane between Great Southwest Parkway to 0.2 miles east of Six Flags Drive exit ramp is closed for construction of new westbound exit ramp to Six Flags Drive. 

I-30 Westbound Exit to AT&T Way/Baird Farm Road

  • Continuously through July 15: The I-30 westbound exit to AT&T Way/Baird Farm Road will be closed for pavement reconstruction in the median. Traffic will be directed to exit Ballpark Way and proceed to the AT&T Way/Baird Farm Road intersection.

I-30 Eastbound Entrance from AT&T Way/Baird Farm Road

  • Continuously through July 15: The I-30 eastbound entrance from AT&T Way/Baird Farm Road will be closed for pavement reconstruction in the median. Traffic will be directed to the prior entrance from FM 157/Collins Street.

I-30 Eastbound Entrance from Convention Center Drive/Copeland Road Intersection 

  • PERMANENT: The eastbound I-30 entrance ramp available from the Convention Center Drive/Copeland Road intersection will be closed permanently. Traffic will continue to have access to the ramp to northbound Ballpark Way.

I-30 Eastbound Entrance from Northbound Ballpark Way

  • PERMANENT: The eastbound I-30 entrance ramp from northbound Ballpark Way will be closed permanently for the construction of a new northbound Ballpark Way connector to eastbound Copeland Road

I-30 HOV Lanes (between Great Southwest Parkway and Cooper Street)

Westbound I-30 HOV lane west of SH 161

  • Through 2021, The westbound HOV lane west of SH 161 will be closed. TEXpress lane traffic will be directed into the I-30 westbound general main lanes west of SH 161.

Eastbound I-30 HOV lane between Center Street and Duncan Perry Road

  • Through 2021, The eastbound HOV lane access near Center Street and lane through Tarrant County will be closed. TEXpress lane traffic will enter at SH 161.

SH 360 Mainlanes and Ramps

SH 360 Southbound Mainlanes

  • Nightly through July 16, 7 p.m.-6 a.m. (excluding holiday blackouts): SH 360 southbound mainlanes will be reduced to one lane at various locations between Division Street and Kingswood Boulevard to complete pavement work.
  • Daily through Sept. 30, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. (excluding Sundays and holiday blackouts): SH 360 southbound mainlanes will have various lanes closed between Division Street and Kingswood Boulevard to complete various work.

SH 360 Northbound Mainlanes

  • Nightly through Aug. 7, 7 p.m.-6 a.m. (excluding holiday blackouts): SH 360 northbound mainlanes will be reduced to one lane at various locations between Kingswood Boulevard and Division Street to complete pavement repairs.
  • Daily through Sept. 30, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. (excluding Sundays and holiday blackouts): SH 360 northbound mainlanes will have various lanes closed between Kingswood Boulevard and Division Street to complete various work.

SH 360 Southbound Entrance from Brown Boulevard/Avenue K

  • PERMANENT: The SH 360 southbound entrance from Brown Boulevard/Avenue K is PERMANENTLY CLOSED. Traffic is detoured along the SH 360 southbound frontage road to enter from the Six Flags Drive entrance ramp. A new entrance ramp will be constructed between Lamar Boulevard and Six Flags Drive.

SH 360 Southbound Exit to Lamar Boulevard

  • PERMANENT: The SH 360 southbound exit to Lamar Boulevard is PERMANENTLY CLOSED. Traffic is detoured to exit to Brown Boulevard/Avenue K and follow the SH 360 southbound frontage road to Lamar Boulevard. A new exit ramp will be constructed to Avenue J/Lamar Boulevard/Six Flags Drive.

SH 360 Southbound Entrance from Lamar Boulevard 

  • PERMANENT: The SH 360 southbound entrance from Lamar Boulevard is PERMANENTLY CLOSED. Traffic is detoured along the SH 360 southbound frontage road to enter from the Six Flags Drive entrance ramp. A new entrance ramp will be constructed between Lamar Boulevard and Six Flags Drive.

    Avenue K to Avenue J

    • Through summer 2020: The SH 360 southbound frontage road is reduced to one lane between Avenue K and Avenue J for construction of new frontage road.

    SH 360 South-to-North U-turn at Lamar Boulevard

    • The SH 360 south-to-north U-turn at Lamar Boulevard will be closed while the SH 360 mainlanes and northbound frontage road are under construction.

    SH 360 South-to-North U-turn at Six Flags Drive

    • The SH 360 south-to-north U-turn at Six Flags Drive will be closed while the SH 360 mainlanes and northbound frontage road are under construction.

    SH 360 South-to-North U-Turn at Abram Street

    • Continuously through Sept. 30: The SH 360 south-to-north U-turn at Abram Street will be closed for SH 360 bridge work.

    SH 360 Northbound Frontage Road

    Billy B Avenue to Donald Terrace

    • Continuous through July 15: The left, inside lane of SH 360 northbound frontage road between Billy B Avenue and Donald Terrace is closed.

    Randol Mill Road to Avenue E

    • Continuous through Dec. 15: The SH 360 northbound frontage road between Randol Mill Road and Avenue E will be reduced to one lane for underground utility work.

    SH 360 North-to-South U-Turn at Abram Street

    • Continuously through Sept, 30: The SH 360 north-to-south U-turn at Abram Street will be closed for SH 360 bridgework.

    SH 360 North-to-South U-turn at Six Flags Drive

    • The SH 360 north-to-south U-turn at Six Flags Drive will be closed while the SH 360 mainlanes and northbound frontage road are under construction.

    SH 360 North-to-South U-turn at Lamar Boulevard

    • The SH 360 north-to-south U-turn at Lamar Boulevard will be closed while the SH 360 mainlanes and northbound frontage road are under construction.

    Local Streets

    I-30 Entrance from Ballpark Way

    • PERMANENT: The northbound Ballpark Way ramp to eastbound I-30 will be closed for reconstruction to connect with Copeland Road. Northbound Ballpark Way traffic may exit to Copeland Road, turn right and enter on a temporary eastbound I-30 entrance ramp.

    Avenue F

    • Through winter 2020, eastbound and westbound Avenue F traffic will be reduced to one lane each direction and shifted to the south side of Avenue F for the reconstruction of Avenue F.

    Copeland Road

    • PERMANENT: Copeland Road between Six Flags Drive and the SH 360 southbound frontage is closed.
    • PERMANENT: Westbound Copeland Road from Six Flags Drive to just east of Ballpark Way is permanently closed. Only eastbound Copeland Road traffic will be allowed between Ballpark Way and Six Flags Drive.

    Majesty Drive

    • Continuously through July 24: The SH 360 northbound frontage road intersection with Majesty Drive will be closed for utility work. Traffic will be detoured east on Glenn Drive and north on 106th Street to reach Majesty Drive.

    Convention Center Drive/Copeland Road Intersection 

    • PERMANENT: The I-30 eastbound entrance ramp available from this intersection was removed permanently from service. Access to northbound Ballpark Way is maintained.

    105th Street

    • PERMANENT: 105th Street between Six Flags Drive and Avenue E is permanently closed and will be removed.
