Additional funding is available for healthcare providers that have billed Medicare’s fee-for-service in 2019 and provide or provided diagnoses, testing, or care for individuals with possible or actual cases of COVID-19 after January 31, 2020 through the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) Provider Relief Funds.

On June 10, 2020, HHS launched an enhanced Provider Relief Fund Payment Portal where Medicaid and CHIP providers can submit documentation used to determine their payment. Medicaid and CHIP providers who have not yet received General Distribution funding may submit their documentation to the enhanced Provider Relief Fund Portal. Distributions are to equal at least 2% of reported gross revenues from patient care.

Beneficiaries may include pediatricians, obstetrician-gynecologists, dentists, opioid treatment and behavioral health providers, assisted living facilities and other home and community-based services providers.

The U.S. Department of Health & Human Services will be holding webinars on Tuesday June 23 and Thursday June 25 on its CARES Act provider Relief Funds. To learn more on eligibility and how to apply, please click here to register as space is limited.
