Residents and community groups across the area have been looking for ways to show their appreciation for the health care professionals working through the coronavirus pandemic.

Matthew Loh, CEO of Asia Times Square, knew just the way to say "thank you" — with food. Loh partnered with Pearl restaurant, inside Asia Times Square, to prepare and donate meals. A team of workers delivered the food to the Baylor Scott & White Orthopedic and Spine Hospital Thursday afternoon.

"The community support of healthcare in general during this difficult time has been tremendous," said Megan Dickson, a registered nurse at Baylor Scott & White. "It's nice to know we really are all in this together."

Loh was already familiar with the City of Arlington's Kindness Initiative and said the program is more vital now than ever.

"Acts of kindness are going to get us through this crisis," Loh said. "You have people facing financial crisis, loneliness. But acts of kindness will get us all through this."
