Here’s a reason to smile—one of the only low-cost community dental clinics remains open in Arlington for emergency dental services during COVID-19. Dental Health Arlington has prevented 24 individuals from visiting local emergency rooms so far.

“We are here to help and keep people out of pain and from being exposed to Covid-19 in the emergency rooms,” said Nancy Blinn, Dental Health Arlington executive director.

Aside from following standard precautions, the clinic has incorporated additional precautionary measures recommended by the American Dental Association and Centers for Disease Control to maintain the safety of their patients and staff. This includes taking a patient’s temperature prior to entering the office and utilizing more personal protective equipment.

The clinic has also reduced its hours and cut back on routine dental services but continues providing treatment for patients who are experiencing severe pain from infections to accidents.

“Normally we only see Tarrant County Residents but we are willing to see anyone exhibiting pain from any other area in the Metroplex, regardless of low-income status during this time frame,” said Blinn.

Dental Health Arlington, located at 501 West Sanford St., Suite 11, is open from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday through Thursday.

For immediate assistance, walk-in services are available at 8 a.m. or call the office at 817-277-1165 x 103 or 105. For more information visit www.dentalhealtharlington.org.
