The Levitt Pavilion, in Downtown Arlington, is getting ready for another year of free live music. And while the 2020 season will feature some of your favorite acts, in the same amazing venue, you'll notice some upgrades as well.

Construction is now 55 percent complete on the Levitt's new hospitality center. The building will feature restrooms on the ground level with a hospitality suite on the second story. The event space will hold about 100 people and includes a deck overlooking the Levitt lawn. The restrooms will open this summer.

The summer concert series runs from May 15 to July 19. The full lineup of performers will be announced March 17.

The free performances are made possible by community support and grant money. The Levitt was recently awarded three large grants, including:

  • $50,000 from the Arlington Cultural Tourism Council
  • $25,000 from the Union Pacific Foundation
  • $10,000 from the National Endowment for the Arts

As the Levitt Pavilion heads into the new year, there are also changes behind the scenes. Letatia Teykl was named Executive Director in November 2019. Teykl is an Arlington native with more than 25 years of experience in community engagement and marketing. She replaces Patti Diou, who retired following the 2019 season.
