“Arlington is a community that possesses the same values that Drury Hotels was founded on over 45-years ago. The City’s long-term commitment to its residents and visitors with continued growth and investment in its unrivaled Entertainment District coupled with Drury’s strong family and leisure customer base made Arlington an ideal City for a new Drury Plaza Hotel,” said Mark Kohl, Drury Development Corporation vice president of development. “We look forward to the next 40-plus years as a member of the Arlington community.”

The Arlington City Council approved a development plan for the hotel project in August 2017. Plans include a pad site for a restaurant and a future office or retail building.

Tourism is a key factor in Arlington's strong economy. An estimated 14 million visitors annually spend time and money in The American Dream City, which is home to four professional sports teams, a state-designated cultural district in Downtown, and a variety of family friendly attractions.
