Every child wants something to open on Christmas morning, but it's not something every parent can provide. That's where Mission Arlington comes in.

The nonprofit's Christmas Store is open again for the season, giving parents the chance to "shop" through thousands of toys and choose something for their children.

"The store means love and hope," said Mission Arlington Executive Director Tillie Burgin. "The opportunity to find that love, that is God's love."

Last year, the store provided gifts for more than 32,000 children across Arlington and other parts of North Texas.

It's a project made possible only by the kindness of donors and volunteers.

"Just to see the joy on the parents' faces, we get as much out of it as they do," said volunteer Donna Harkreader.

It is not too late to donate items, including wrapping paper and tape. Click here for a list of needed items.

The Mission Arlington Christmas Store is located at 400 W. South Street in Downtown Arlington. The store is open Monday through Saturday, through Dec. 21, from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. The store will also be open Monday, Dec. 23 from 10 a.m. until noon.
