Kick off your Thanksgiving Day in The American Dream City by participating in the 10th annual Arlington Turkey Trot. The Nov. 28 event, which benefits the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tarrant County, includes a Puffin’ for Stuffin’ 1 Mile Fun Run and a 5K Run/Walk.

Turkey Trots have been a part of American Thanksgiving Day tradition as far back as 1896, with the founding of the Buffalo Turkey Trot in New York.

Registration is open now for the Arlington Turkey Trot, which has been named by Daily Burn magazine as a Top 20 Turkey Trot in the nation. Click here to register for this year’s event. Online registration closes at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27.

The 1-mile fun run will begin at 8 a.m. and will be followed by the 5K Run/Walk at 8:30 a.m. Registration and the Start & Finish are on Nolan Ryan Expressway on the west side of the Globe Life Park in Arlington. Parking is free and will be located at the Esports Stadium Arlington + Expo Center, 1200 Ballpark Way, and Texas Rangers Lot J on Randol Mill Road.

Awards will be given in several categories, including the top male and female finishers in each age group.
