The National Medal of Honor Museum hasn't yet broken ground in Arlington's Entertainment District. But it's already teaching students lessons in courage, valor and patriotism.

Before the National Medal of Honor Museum Foundation selected Arlington as its future home, students at St. Joseph Catholic School sent pictures and letters to the Foundation showcasing their American spirit. Teachers used the Museum to educate students about the Medal of Honor then asked them to create a piece that showed their American pride.

National Medal of Honor Museum CEO and President Joe Daniels said the students' work showed why Arlington truly is The American Dream City, making the Foundation's decision clear.

Thursday, Daniels stopped by St. Joseph to thank the students. He also promised they would be one of the first schools to visit the Museum when it opens in 2024. Daniels also said the visit aligned with the Museum's goal to reach new generations of Americans and share these life-changing stories.
