Tails N Trails, one of two public dog parks in The American Dream City, offers a range of activities for residents and their dogs to exercise and socialize. The Arlington City Council recently approved funding to build an additional dog paddock at the 5.7-acre park, which is located at 950 SE Green Oaks Boulevard near Arlington Animal Services and the Southeast Branch Library.

Other planned improvements include associated enhancements such as new fencing, grading, stormwater infrastructure improvements, electrical, lighting, plumbing, irrigation, landscaping, benches, pet waste stations, a drinking fountain for the dogs, and a sidewalk that will link the new paddock to the Arlington Animal Services Center. Wooded area improvements will provide additional off-leash space, in conjunction with the new dog paddock area. The project, which aligns with the City Council Priority to Champion Great Neighborhoods, is expected to begin in January 2020 and be complete by early summer 2020.

Tails N Trails Dog Park isn’t the only option for off-leash fun in the city. The Rush Creek Dog Park in West Arlington is located at 1900 Valleywood Drive off West Pioneer Parkway.
