The first-ever Village on Front: A Haunted Experience in Downtown Arlington will run from Thursday, Oct. 10 through Sunday, Nov. 3 at Knapp Heritage Park, which is located at 201 W. Front St.

A haunting new event is heading to Downtown Arlington.

The Knapp Heritage Park, which offers visitors a collection of buildings that date back to Arlington’s earliest days, will temporarily transform into a haunted village thanks to a partnership between the Arlington Historical Society and 3Di Sign + Design. The first-ever Village on Front: A Haunted Experience in Downtown Arlington will run from Thursday, Oct. 10 through Sunday, Nov. 3 at Knapp Heritage Park, which is located at 201 W. Front St.

Knapp boasts an authentic one room schoolhouse, one room cabin, dog trot cabin, the Bardin blacksmith barn, and a general store inside James Knapp’s old law office. School children and history buffs of all ages visit Knapp year-round for special events like the Front Street Festival and blacksmith presentations.

The Village on Front tells the story of an 8-year-old girl Mary from the 1800s, that has lost her parents and is searching for them throughout the village with many challenges, obstacles and strange encounters along the way.

“We’ve been having a blast working with incredible special effects experts from both Los Angeles and New York,” Paul Fulks, President of 3Di, said to event sponsor Downtown Arlington. “These are folks who have created characters and props for Hollywood productions, and they pulled out all the stops for Arlington.”
Proceeds from this Haunted Experience benefit the Arlington Historical Society.

The Arlington Historical Society was originally called the Cemetery Society when founded in 1887 by members dedicated to gathering and preserving historical information and items relating to the founding and growth of the city. Dedicated residents by birth or by choice continue to join the society understanding how important the past is in relationship to the present. Whether an old timer or a newcomer we invite you to become a part of our family who work tirelessly to save, restore and preserve Arlington's historical treasures.
