Globe Life ParkThe Texas Rangers have announced new details of the final homestand at Globe Life Park.

The team will move across Arlington's Entertainment District to the new Globe Life Field in 2020. But first, it's one last homestand for the history books.

The Rangers will face the Yankees the weekend of Sept. 27. The final Friday game will include a fireworks show after the last out.

Saturday's game is the final night game at Globe Life Park and will include a national anthem performance by Charley Pride plus an autograph session with Rangers stars Hank Blalock, Neftali Feliz and Ivan Rodriguez.

The team will then turn out the lights after the last out during a special ceremony.

Fans at Sunday's game will receive a special t-shirt marking the park's final game. The Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra will perform the national anthem. Former Arlington Mayor Richard Greene will lead the final "100 game countdown."

A special ceremony will follow the game. Returning members of the fan-selected Globe Life Park Era All-Time Team will first be introduced at their respective positions on the field. Following the introduction of the All-Time Team and the “final pitch”, the Rangers will dig up home plate at Globe Life Park and move it across the street for a ceremonial installation at Globe Life Field. Home plate will be moved in a parade between the two parks with participants including the Globe Life Park All-Time Team, Rangers ownership and front office employees, City of Arlington officials and several musical groups.

The parade will leave Globe Life Park through the east loading dock before going west on Road to Six Flags, south on Ballpark Way, and west on Randol Mill Road to the North Plaza at Texas Live!, where home plate will be carried into Globe Life Field. Fans can watch the parade along the route or on the Globe Life Park video boards. The ceremony will replicate the event from October 3, 1993, when home plate made the move from Arlington Stadium to The Ballpark in Arlington.

As of Monday, Sept. 23, reserved seats are still available for the Friday and Saturday games. Only scattered singles, obstructed-view seats and standing-room-only tickets are available for Sunday afternoon's game.
