Arlington Makes List of Best Cities for Women's Pay

Arlington Ranks in Top Cities for Women's PayA new study from financial website SmartAsset ranks Arlington as one of the top ten U.S. cities for women's pay.

SmartAsset looked at data from 150 cities to compile its list including median earnings for women, growth in women's earnings, women’s earnings as a percentage of men’s and the change in women’s earnings as a percentage of men’s.

Using those factors, Arlington ranked eighth in the nation for best cities for women's pay.

According to SmartAsset, women's earnings in Arlington experienced growth of more than 14 percent from 2015 to 2017, the ninth-highest rate for this metric overall. The 2017 median earnings for women were $40,835. Women’s salaries are 92.1 percent of men’s, a figure that increased 7.6 percent between 2015 and 2017.
