1. Frame4Frame Film Festival

The arts take center stage this weekend at the Frame4Frame Film Festival. More than two dozen movies are competing for the top prize, awarded Sunday. The movies are being shown at Studio Movie Grill in Lincoln Square. Click the link above for ticket information. There are also two concerts and an art show connected to the festival. 

2. Fright Fest at Six Flags Over Texas

Get your scares in early! Fright Fest opens Saturday at Six Flags Over Texas. The park will unveil several new attractions this year. Click the link above for a complete list of everything new. 

3. Food Truck Friday at Stovall Park

Now that the weather is finally cooling off, it's the perfect time to enjoy dinner outside. Head to Stovall Park Friday between 5:30 and 10 p.m. for Food Truck Fridays. You'll find plenty of great options. Just bring a blanket or lawn chairs since seating is limited. 

4. "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas" at Theatre Arlington

It's opening weekend for a Texas classic. "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas" comes to Downtown's Theatre Arlington with performances Friday and Saturday nights and a Sunday matinee. Tickets are $28. The show runs through Oct. 13.

5. Glow & Flow Yoga

You've never done yoga like this. Arlington Parks & Recreation is hosting a blacklight yoga class Saturday at 1 p.m. at Dottie Lynn Recreation Center. Come dressed in neon and white. Tickets are $10. 

6. Free Concerts at Levitt Pavilion

Head Downtown this weekend for three free concerts at Levitt Pavilion. Cuban/Caribbean rhythm group Flow Tribe performs Friday. Saturday is a Spyder Pop record label showcase, featuring hometown talent. Sunday features indie classical group Montopolis performing a tribute to Big Bend National Park, complete with stunning video. 

7. Explore Arlington ISD

Saturday is your chance to explore all the amazing opportunities available through Arlington ISD. Principals and teachers from each of Arlington ISD’s specialized programs, Pre-K program, and career and technical training programs will be on hand to answer your questions. The event is at the Dan Dipert Career & Technical Center from 9 a.m. until noon.

8. Night Nation Run

This is not your typical fun run. The Night Nation Run combines a timed run and music festival. You'll start and finish at Texas Live! after taking a lap around AT&T Stadium. Then the fun really begins with a DJ, bubble zone and black lights. The event benefits Stand Up to Cancer. The party starts at 5 p.m. Saturday.

9. Cowboys Watch Party at Texas Live!

Our hometown team is home again to face the Miami Dolphins. If you can't make it to the game, head to Texas Live! to catch the action on a 100-foot screen. The party starts at 10 a.m. Kickoff is at noon. 

10. Sara Evans at Arlington Music Hall 

Country star Sara Evans is in town Saturday to play all her biggest hits. She'll perform at Arlington Music Hall at 8 p.m. Tickets start at $29.
