Neighborhoods across The American Dream City are gearing up for their annual National Night Out block parties.

National Night Out, held the first Tuesday of October in Texas, promotes crime prevention, police-community partnership and neighborhood camaraderie – all which are important to strong, vibrant neighborhoods in our city. The City of Arlington regularly posts news about programs, services and events, including National Night Out, on Nextdoor, where approximately 74,500 households get their information about what is happening in the community.

The Arlington City Council has identified “Champion Great Neighborhoods” as one of five key priorities. Great neighborhoods contribute to a higher quality of life and greater investment in our economy.

All quarterly City Council priority newsletters are now produced in a digital formal, allowing for layers of additional video content and important links.
