Housing surveyThe City of Arlington is in the process of conducting two surveys vital to our ongoing planning and grant management operations:

  • Housing Needs Assessment
  • Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing

In order to accomplish this, we need you! No housing study can be complete without the input of the citizens who live in our community. Please click here and answer the questions to the best of your ability. The survey is also available in Spanish.

This 26-question online survey is designed to gather data about current housing in Arlington, individual’s experiences finding housing and the community’s future desires about housing options.

The City will also conduct focus groups over the next few months, so keep a look out for more opportunities to be involved.

Feedback provided from this survey will be used, along with other collected data, to build the Housing Needs Assessment Report and the Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Report. These reports inform the public, policy makers, industry representatives and community-based organizations about housing conditions and trends, and help analyze fair housing and affordable housing issues in Arlington.

Both reports are intended to give City staff and officials the implementation tools and strategies to guide future development of housing stock to align with the City Council Priority to Champion Great Neighborhoods and to meet the needs of residents in The American Dream City.
