Library Seeks Daring Young Writers for Scribbler’s Print Society

The Arlington Public Library is inspiring daring young writers to look at the world around them and take up the challenge of writing fiction, comics, mysteries, and more, all developed from locations of interest around the city.

Children ages 8-12 are invited to join the Scribbler's Print Society on Wednesday, January 20, at the historic Fielder House, located at 1616 W. Abram Street. The group will view a collection of artifacts from past "scribblers" in the museum and receive the first writing challenge of this multi-part program, which will continue through the spring.

Special guests will lead the writing sessions, and young Scribblers will have the chance to view and interact with objects and materials that will play into the different styles of writing that will be introduced at each session. Future meeting locations include the Arlington Music Hall, the UTA Map and Atlas Collection, and the Richard Greene Linear Park.

This program is free and open to the public and no registration is required.
