We've all lost something at some point in our lives. Losing something as important your wallet is huge. But what's even bigger - some might even call it a miracle - is when it magically turns up on your front porch.

";When I came home on Monday [Dec 9], I found a package containing Audrey's wallet on the front porch," said Arlington resident and Channel 8 News Reporter Jim Douglas, whose daughter thought she lost it either at the Kroger grocery store or the Valero gas station in north Arlington.

";The message said that a sanding crew had found it. I couldn't believe it, especially after these folks had undoubtedly worked such long, cold hours after the ice storm. I was really impressed that they brought it to my door." But what is even more impressive - or strange, rather - is that the location where it was found was nowhere near where it was lost.

Streets Crew Leader Derick Kellum was working as part of one of the city's severe weather response teams on the night of Sunday, Dec. 8 after a massive winter storm made roads and bridges all but impassable. He was operating a sander on the Fielder Street bridge in central Arlington when he found the wallet sticking in a mound of ice on the side of the road. Kellum then turned it into his supervisor, Ramiro Resendez, who then turned it over to Signals Crew Leader James Andrews to deliver it to the Douglas' home.
