Prior to Thursday's 80th Cotton Bowl Classic in Arlington, thousands of Michigan State and Alabama fans flocked to AT&T Stadium and tailgates in the Entertainment District to cheer on their team's quest for a National Championship appearance.

The 80th Cotton Bowl Classic will serve as the College Football Playoff Semifinal game and kickoff will be at 7 p.m. The game will be nationally televised on ESPN.

Last season's Cotton Bowl Classic in Arlington saw the Michigan State Spartans score three touchdowns in the fourth quarter to beat the Baylor Bears 42-41, in the highest-scoring Cotton Bowl ever.

Since making the move to AT&T Stadium, the Classic has sold out each of the last six years and generated four of the top five largest crowds in the 79-year history of the Cotton Bowl.
