Tierra Verde Golf Club at the Reserve will host the 7th annual Tees and Trees Open Friday, April 20.
The annual event, held in conjunction with Earth Day, supports Arlington Golf's work to highlight environmental initiatives and fund sustainable programs.
Tierra Verde Golf Club is the first Audubon Signature golf course in Texas, and the first municipal course in the world to earn that distinction. As a past winner of the prestigious Environmental Leader in Golf Award, the facility is looked to as the standard for sustainable golf in North Texas.
Tierra Verde hosts informative tours as part of its outreach and education programs, typically hosting hundreds of guests annually. They are educated on environmental practices, sustainable management techniques, and green development.
The Tees and Trees event is an important part of this outreach to golfers and guests alike.
