Free Concerts at Levitt Pavilion for Performing Arts

The Summer Music Series at Levitt Pavilion continues this weekend with music from three dynamic artists. Grab your lawn chairs, bring the food and coolers, and enjoy a night under the stars. All concerts are FREE to the public.

Friday: Del Castillo - Intoxicating Latin romance with an edge Monte Montgomery - Electrifying master of acoustic guitar

Saturday: The Quebe Sisters Band - Intricate triple fiddles and Texas harmony

Sunday: Terri Hendrix & Lloyd Maines - A tapestry of folk, pop, country, blues and swinging jazz

Poetry and Jazz Fest at The Arlington Museum of Art

The best live poetry performance this weekend can be found at the Arlington Museum of Art. Hear local DFW poets read selected works from several Harlem Renaissance greats, including Langston Hughes and Countee Cullen. If attendees would like to read a poem written by a Harlem Renaissance great, step up to the mic. This event is free with purchase of admission on Saturday. $8 for adults, $5 for seniors and students.

Animal Exploration in Arlington

Discover the habits and adaptations of one of our native animals during a live animal observation with a River Legacy Naturalist at River Legacy Living Science Center, 703 N.W. Green Oaks Blvd. Call 817-860-6752 to RSVP. Session begins Saturday, July 6, at 2:00 p.m.

Wine Tasting at Downtown Arlington Farmers Market

This Friday and Saturday, sample some of the fine organic wines offered by Bonterra Vineyards from Mendocino County, California. While sipping on a Sauvignon Blanc, take a moment to enter a contest for a trip for two to Bonterra's NcNab Ranch. Wine tasting runs 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on both days.

UTA Hosts Women's Lacrosse Exhibition

Don't miss a Women's Lacrosse Exhibition game showcasing some of the top Native American student-athletes from across the country in a competitive and exciting game at UT Arlington's Maverick Stadium. This exhibition is part of a week-long lacrosse summer camp at UTA. Tickets are sold at the event. $15 for adults; $7 for kids 10 and under; FREE for veterans and current military.
