Coach Ray Menezes has coached for the Parks and Recreation Department youth soccer program since 2004. His coaching status changed greatly when he took over as the head coach for team Liverpool in the fall of 2007. Since then, Ray has been instrumental in coaching 2-3 soccer teams per season and never misses a beat! If we have teams that do not have a coach, Ray is the first one to step up and assist the department.

Ray's knowledge and passion for soccer has been passed down to the kids he coaches as well as their parents. His son Ashwin, plays soccer and basketball with the City of Arlington and his daughter Anjali is waiting for her father to coach her soccer team. Coach Menezes has a large base of parents and children that request him each season. These returning players are eager to take on another season of indoor and outdoor soccer under Ray's leadership. Ray has been a true asset to our program for over 8 years. The departments "Play Is Winning" philosophy continues to hold true year after year. Our reason for being here is to promote "FUN" in sports while teaching our youth positive behaviors. We are lucky to have such a dedicated coach, parent and supporter of the youth soccer program. Thanks Coach Menezes, you have made a difference in the lives of our youth and our sports program!
