River Legacy Living Science Center’s W.A.T.E.R. Festival Makes a Splash This Saturday

W.A.T.E.R. Festival

Come celebrate the wonderful resource of water with The City of Arlington's Water Utilities as it joins forces with River Legacy Living Science Center to raise awareness for the importance of water education and conservation.

The 14th annual Water Awareness through Education and Recreation (W.A.T.E.R.) Festival is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, 2018 at River Legacy Living Science Center, 703 N.W. Green Oaks Blvd. This event is free to the public and will include a variety of family-friendly activities, crafts, games and demonstrations.

Creek walks are scheduled at 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., story times are scheduled for 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. and Animal Exploration: All About Mammals is set for noon.

The Discovery Room will also be open at no cost for event activities, although not all exhibits will be available.

The first 75 families who visit the Arlington Water Utilities booth will receive a free water conservation kit.

Other exhibitors include the Arlington Public Library, The Trinity River Authority, U.S. Fish & Wildlife and Nature's Edge Wildlife Rescue.
