Don't worry if you heard a big boom in Arlington this afternoon, Six Flags Over Texas demolished their 200-foot-tall Texas Chute Out.

The ride, which has been in place since the park opened in 1976, closed earlier this year after Six Flags announced plans to replace it with the Texas SkyScreamer.

According to park officials, over 29 million guests have taken the parachute drop over the years and no doubt enjoyed the panoramic view of North Texas from its top.
