Enjoy an entertaining evening in Downtown Arlington and help support literacy! The Arlington Public Library Foundation invites you to join friends and neighbors on Saturday, April 6, 5-11 pm for the Retro Downtown Crawl. Travel from one downtown restaurant to another throughout the evening, enjoy special discounts, and raise needed funds for library programs.

First stop is the George W. Hawkes Central Library Patio, 101 E. Abram Street. Come and listen to the Beatles cover band, The Taxmen, perform from 5-6:30 p.m. and mingle with others before the Crawl begins.

Pick up a wristband for a $5 donation to the Arlington Public Library Foundation. Wristbands may also be purchased early either online or at any library location. This entitles you to special discounts at downtown establishments at specific times throughout the evening.

This event is for the whole family with some designated locations for 21 and up. Participating restaurants are The Grease Monkey, Freebirds, J. R. Bentley's, Old School Pizza & Suds, Maverick's Bar & Grill, Fuzzy's Taco Shop, Twisted Root Burger Co., J. Gilligan's Bar & Grill, and Hooligan's. Seventies attire is encouraged!

All proceeds benefit the Community Summer Reading Program. Check the library website for an updated event schedule, map and information about wristband purchase. Join us for a groovy good time!
