Last week, the Wings opened up the first day of its training camp to the public to generate excitement and build its fan base in Arlington and across the DFW community.

"Our first practice was really meant for the fans and the season-ticket holders," Wings head coach Fred Williams said on the Dallas Wings website. "We had to show who we are early. This is great for us."

The team also unveiled its new basketball court at the UT Arlington's College Park Center, a state-of-the-art 7,000-seat arena.

The Wings will play on a Connor Sports QuickLock portable court for the 2016 season.

The court, which was refinished and transformed for the Wings, was originally the 2016 NCAA Dallas Women's Regional basketball court.
