MyArlingtonTV is taking a trip across The American Dream City to showcase some of the diverse musical acts happening in Arlington's schools, restaurants, churches and neighborhoods.

Hosted by Tika Cook, "Backstage Arlington" highlights some of the different music acts and performing venues that exist in Arlington. The newest episode features Taste of Arlington, an endeavor that unites restaurants, specialty beverages, gourmet food stores and live music.

This year's event, hosted by Theatre Arlington, moved from the Arlington Convention Center to Main Street in Downtown. Taste of Arlington benefits Theatre Arlington's children's programs and celebrates the energy of the new Downtown Arlington Cultural Arts District.

VYLIT, a new local indie, dream pop and synth pop band kicked off the live music on September 2, 2017, followed by the Americana sounds of The Gibbonses and Public Road, a classic rock cover band. The day also featured performances by Dance Theatre of Arlington.

The City's Office of Communication develops programming for MyArlingtonTV. Viewers can find MyArlingtonTV programs on the following cable systems: Spectrum Channel 16 and AT&T U-Verse channel 99, and streaming capabilities at www.arlingtontx.gov. All episodes are also available on the City's YouTube channel, Facebook page and Twitter account.
