Arlington Honors Police

Arlington will remember its fallen law enforcement officers at a special ceremony at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 5 at Heroes Park.

The Arlington Police Memorial Service is held in conjunction with celebrations across the nation that pay tribute to peace officers who have died in the line of duty.

National Police Week is May 15-21 with more observances in Washington, D.C. In 1962, President John F. Kennedy signed a proclamation designating May 15 as Peace Officers Memorial Day and the week in which that date falls as Police Week.

Arlington"s Police Memorial Service at Heroes Park, 2100 W. Green Oaks Blvd., will pay tribute to eight Arlington fallen officers.
