Johnson Creek Bridge

The Johnson Creek bridge on Abram Street will be closed starting Sunday, May 15 and isn't expected to reopen until January 2017.

Drivers who regularly travel east Abram Street between Collins Street and Stadium Drive will need to plan alternate routes during reconstruction of the bridge, which is located near Meadowbrook Park.

During bridge construction, thru-traffic will be detoured north to Division Street. Abram Street will remain open to two-way traffic on either side of the bridge so drivers will still be able to access businesses in that area.

A new bridge will be built about nine feet higher than the existing bridge to help alleviate roadway flooding during heavy storms.
