Downtown Arlington Center Stage Music Festival

The Levitt's 2016 Baylor Orthopedic & Spine Hospital Summer Concert Season kicks off May 27-29 as the centerpiece of the Downtown Arlington Center Stage Music Festival, featuring six free concerts at the Levitt and a variety of music artists in restaurants surrounding the pavilion."The Levitt's summer season starts with the awe-inspiring Texas psych/pop choir, The Polyphonic Spree, at 8:30 p.m. Friday, May 27."Grammy Award-winning classic rockers, Blood, Sweat & Tears, perform at the Levitt at 8:30 p.m. Saturday, May 28, sponsored by Downtown Arlington Management Corp."Opening weekend concludes with the quirky infectious punk/pop fun of a Metroplex favorite, Bowling for Soup, performing at 8:30 p.m. Sunday, May 29.

Join Arlington Parks and Recreation this week as they kick off their Food Truck Friday "Dinner by the River" series at River Legacy Parks (Elm Grove Pavilion) at 701 NE Green Oaks Blvd."Join them each Friday (May 27-June 17) from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Each week they will feature a new lineup of food trucks for you to try out."Bring your friends and family for a great time filled with music, fun, delicious food! While you're out there you can partake in classic summertime fun, with games like Cornhole and Giant Jenga and Connect 4 courtesy of Viridian."Feel free to bring lawn chairs and picnic blankets as seating is limited.

Pittsburgh Pirates vs. Texas Rangers

After finishing a home series with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, your Texas Rangers welcome the Pittsburgh Pirates to Globe Life Park in Arlington for a weekend of interleague play in The American Dream City! First pitch for Friday's game is at 7:05 p.m. while Saturday's game is at 6:15 p.m. Sunday's day game is at 2:05 p.m. There will be a post-game fireworks show after Friday's game. The first 15,000 fans ages 14 and older will receive a Rangers beach towel at Saturday's game and then on Sunday, the first 15,000 fans will receive a Nitto Tire Blue Dot Bobblehead. Dallas Wings Basketball

The Dallas Wings of the WNBA return home to College Park Center at UT Arlington in Downtown for two home games this weekend in The American Dream City! The team takes on the Atlanta Dream on Friday, May 27 at 7:30 p.m. and then on Sunday, May 29, the Wings face off against the Chicago Sky. Vivian Maier: Lost and Found Exhibit at Arlington Museum of Art

Virtually unknown photographer Vivian Maier took close to 200,000 photographs while she worked for over 40 years as a nanny primarily on Chicago's North Shore. Born in New York City, Maier's hauntingly beautiful images of street life in the City, Chicago, and Los Angeles weren't discovered until the contents of an abandoned storage unit packed with hundreds of thousands of negatives, hundreds of rolls of film, some printed work and audio recordings were auctioned off. It was then that her talent came to light and told the story of a true creative genius whose life remains shrouded in mystery to this day. Arlington Music Hall Presents Donny Edwards & Fever (The Ultimate Elvis Experience)

Back by popular demand, Donny Edwards along with his band Fever are back in The American Dream City! Donny Edwards is a multi-award winning Elvis tribute artist, the most sought after in the world. He is a versatile performer with the ability to re-enact each era of Elvis' life and career. Edwards will take fans through every era of Elvis' great career, from the early days of the 1950s to the famous black leather 1968 Comeback Special. UTA Planetarium Presents: From Earth to the Universe

From Earth to the Universe then leaves our home to take the audience out to the colorful birthplaces and burial grounds of stars, and still further out, beyond the Milky Way, to the unimaginable immensity of a myriad galaxies.
