Nate Kopetsky, a junior midfielder for Sam Houston High School's soccer team, has been selected as the City of Arlington's Student-Athlete of the Month for March 2018.

Nate, who has three goals and 12 assists for the year, was named 1st Team All-State Midfielder in 2017 by the Texas Association of Soccer Coaches when he was a sophomore. Nate and the Sam Houston High School soccer team, who are District 4-6A champions this season, will make a run at a UIL state championship title next month.

"Nate's work ethic is one of the best work ethics on our team. He's one of those guys, if you tell him to do ten reps of something, he's going to do eleven, maybe he'll do twelve," said Joey Rodriguez, head coach for Sam Houston High School soccer team. "He's very coachable."

Nate, whose favorite subject is math, hasn't decided on a college but plans to major in engineering and continue playing soccer.
