Justice League: Battle for Metropolis will debut in The American Dream City on Saturday, May 23.

Six Flags Over Texas made the announcement official today, meaning residents will only have to wait a little more than a month to journey through the city of Metropolis to save the Justice League and capture Lex Luthor and The Joker.

Battle for Metropolis features six-passenger vehicles, 18 screens, lifelike animatronics, cutting edge special effects and 4D video.

Earlier this month, the City received a construction tour to survey the progress being made on the new ride with President Steve Martindale.

“It’s the only one of its kind in North America. We’re quite proud of where it is and where it’s going to be once it opens,” said Martindale.

Be sure to stay with the City’s website for updates leading up to the ride’s debut at Six Flags Over Texas.

Six Flags Entertainment Corporation is the world’s largest regional theme park company with $1.2 billion in revenue and 18 parks across the United States, Mexico and Canada.
