Interactive Water Playground to Open at Six Flags Hurricane Harbor in May

Six Flags Hurricane Harbor, the largest waterpark in North Texas, has announced plans for a thrilling, new interactive water playground, set to open in May. Splashwater Beach will have nearly 40 state-of-the-art water play features for little explorers, all themed with a tropical island look and feel. The vibrant, new zone is the latest addition to the waterpark's innovative lineup of slides, rides, and attractions and offers the perfect place for kids and families to cool off this summer.

"Hurricane Harbor is the premier waterpark destination in North Texas and Splashwater Beach joins an unparalleled collection of the biggest rides and best water attractions," said Six Flags Hurricane Harbor President Steve Martindale. "This new tropical oasis will provide hours of water fun and strengthens our ongoing commitment to offer exciting, new experiences that can be shared with family and friends."

Splashwater Beach will feature:

  • More than 20,000 square feet of interactive, bigger, better, wetter fun;
  • Six water action zones filled with a thrilling variety of geysers, sprays, water curtains, and water cannons; plus,
  • A colorful, relaxing area with additional lounge space for families.

Splashwater Beach will complement the more than 40 rides and attractions that are part of Hurricane Harbor's sprawling 47 acres. Six Flags Hurricane Harbor opens for the 2018 season on Saturday, May 5.
