Arlington Police Gives Thanks to Department’s 345 Active Volunteers

The Arlington Police Department held its annual Volunteer Awards Luncheon to honor the work and support from the 345 active volunteers in the organization. Police Chief Will Johnson and Mayor Jeff Williams both spoke on the value, importance and difference all the volunteers are making within our community.

At the luncheon, officers and members of the department took time out to serve lunch to the volunteers to say "thank you" for service to the community.

In 2017, volunteers at the APD logged 29,623 hours of service in various capacities in assistance the department. The department awarded several volunteers with awards for their service in 2017.
