TxDOT Update

TxDOT is quickly moving forward with plans to replace the damaged elements of the Bardin Road bridge through the use of an emergency contract.

The Bardin Road bridge (over State Highway 360 near the city limits of Arlington and Grand Prairie), which was severely damaged by fire in early November, will have repairs to replace the beams and the bridge deck where the fire damaged the bridge.

Work will start after a contractor has been selected and materials and equipment are mobilized.

Work could begin early next year with the construction of bridge beams off-site, and the repairs will take several months to complete. TxDOT will continue to send updates as the construction schedule is determined and after the design is complete and a contractor is awarded the project.

TxDOT apologizes for the inconvenience the closure is causing, and we appreciate the patience of motorists as the bridge is repaired.
