Our community grieves for the victims and families involved in last night''s tragic and heartbreaking events in Downtown Dallas.
Arlington Police Chief Will Johnson and I have reached out to Dallas Police Chief David Brown and Mayor Mike Rawlings to offer any assistance we can at this time. We have lowered flags across the city to half-staff in honor of the five law enforcement officers who lost their lives in the line of duty. Our thoughts and prayers are also with Dallas first responders and the seven officers and two civilians who were injured in this senseless attack.
Dallas leaders have asked that we join them in prayer at noon today. Wherever you are at noon, please take a moment to pray for all of those involved and for the Dallas community.
