1. East Main Street Arts Festival

Looking for something fun to do this weekend? Head Downtown for Arlington Proud's 3rd annual East Main Arts Festival on Saturday, May 5. The event, which is free, dog friendly, and open to the public, is scheduled from noon to 8 p.m. The East Main Arts Festival, at 601 E. Main St., will create a three-block street scene anchored by Division Brewing, Mavericks Bar & Grill and Urban Alchemy Wine and Coffee Bar. The festival includes a full-day lineup of 29 local musicians, dozens of booths featuring local and emerging arts vendors, children's activities and food and drink for sale. 2. Boston Red Sox vs. Texas Rangers at Globe Life Park in Arlington

The Texas Rangers host the AL-leading Boston Red Sox at Globe Life Park in Arlington this weekend for a four-game series. The Rangers will play at 7:05 p.m. CT on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and at 2:05 p.m. CT on Sunday. Fans will enjoy a fireworks show after the game on Friday and the Josh Abbott Band will perform after the game on Sunday. 3. Hurricane Harbor Opening Weekend

You've been waiting all winter, and the season is finally here! It's time to break out the swimwear, slather on the sunscreen, and dust off your sunglasses for a fun-filled season at Hurricane Harbor! This summer season is sure to rock with plenty of activities for the entire family. Cool off with the kiddos at Hook's Lagoon with four mini slides, water sprayers and shallow water to splash around in. For the thrills seekers in the family, hop onto Tornado and travel down the 132 foot slide in the mouth of a gigantic funnel. Hurricane Harbor will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday.

4. Six Flags Over Texas

Six Flags Over Texas, the Thrill Capital of Texas, continues its 57th season in The American Dream City. The park will open this weekend for guests to enjoy their favorite coasters and attractions, while preparations continue for the late spring debut of the ultimate Super-Villain thrill ride-HARLEY QUINN Spinsanity. The park's operating hours are from 10:00 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday and 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday. 5. Arlington Parks & Recreation's Food Truck Friday

Leave your leftovers and brown bag lunches at home. The Arlington Parks and Recreation Department's fantastic Food Truck Fridays lunch series continues in Downtown Arlington. This event will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Friday until May 18 at Founders Plaza, 100 W. Abram St. The park is located next to the Levitt Pavilion, just south of City Hall, in the heart of Downtown Arlington. Each Friday will feature a new lineup of food trucks, allowing visitors the opportunity to taste and try out different fare. The food truck line-ups will be announced the Wednesday before each event at www.naturallyfun.org/foodtruck.

6. Live Music at Grease Monkey Burger Shop & Social Club

Head over to Grease Monkey Burger Shop & Social Club in Downtown Arlington for two nights of live music this weekend. On Friday night, Derek Lee performs at 9 p.m. On Saturday night, residents and visitors can check out Legacy 4, Michael Lee and Wartime Limousine for a special Cinco de Mayo event. Legacy 4, a Fort Worth based band performing classic R&B and Motown hits, is a hit with Arlington residents, frequently performing at the Grease Monkey Burger Shop and Social Club in Downtown. That show gets underway at 6:30 p.m. Grease Monkey is located at 200 N Mesquite St, Arlington, TX 76011.

7. Live Music at J.R. Bentley's

Joe Savage is set to perform this Friday, May 4, 2018 at J.R. Bentley's in Downtown Arlington. The show starts at 8 p.m. On Saturday, Brendyn Kyle will perform. That show also begins at 8 p.m. Situated in a historic home, J.R. Bentley's has the feel of an authentic English pub and features several local and area bands throughout the year. 8. UTA Maverick Dance Company presents: Via Dance

Maverick Dance Company presents VIA DANCE, a collection of progressive dance works directed by Amanda Jackson and Meredith Knight. The concert title is based on a perspective that through dance, we can communicate what is often challenging to put into words - that dance can simultaneously speak many languages and connect us on a visceral level. VIA DANCE offers thought-provoking and entertaining performances with dance styles ranging from post-modern, contemporary hip hop, musical theatre, and folklorico. 9. Donuts & Drafts at Legal Draft Beer Co.

FunkyTown Donuts is back at Legal Draft Beer Co. this Sunday, May 6, to pair their handcrafted donuts with a flight of Legal Draft brews! Get a box of 5 mini donuts and our beer flight (five 5oz pours) for $15. There will be two time slots available (1-3 p.m. and 3-5 p.m.) to pick up your donuts. 10. Shows at UTA Planetarium

UTA Planetarium continues to offer shows to residents and visitors.
